It’s true what they say, location matters! While it might seem obvious it cannot be understated how important where you are located plays a part in your opportunities. It can be very difficult to forge a scuba diving career while living in Iowa. A simple example, but true nonetheless. It can be very difficult to get a career in modeling if you do not have access to Los Angeles or another major modeling hub. Los Angeles is the capital of the west coast and one of the biggest cities in the world when it comes to the media. Hollywood is the only example you need. If you do not live in Los Angeles that means you have to travel and the farther you live the harder it can be. This is why we always try to source our models from Los Angeles county.
LA for many is the city of dreams, and those who live there have a huge leg up on those who have to fly in. Here are a few reasons why we think LA is the place to be for up-and-coming child models.

When you have unlimited access to this city it can pay huge dividends. Your child model will be able to work as fast as we can book them because they’ll be living in the city where it’s all happening. Living in a metropolis like LA gives a huge boost because of what it has to offer. Neverending commotion, media presence, and networking capabilities which can create connections that could boost your child’s career. The deeper you are entrenched in the industry the more access you’ll receive, which in turn helps your child’s career grow. It allows you to live in the city where everything is happening instead of visiting a weekend at a time.
Long Distance Is Difficult
People who live outside of LA and especially those who live outside of California are at a huge disadvantage due to the distance. You never know what happens in life, especially when distance is involved. When you have to coordinate flights, Ubers, rentals, hotels, and kids anything can happen, and if any small hiccup happens in your travels you can miss the opportunity of a lifetime. It is also hard to commit to auditions because of the added cost of traveling cross country. This is one of the main reasons why we try to sign child models that have access to LA, because we never want to feel like someone has wasted time, or missed any auditions we book.

LA is Hollywood and where everyone is going to try and make it. When you have that many creative people in one city it is bound to boost style and force trends that go around the world. Think of all the TikTok houses that are creating dances and trends that everyone watches and adopts. All of them live in LA. Living in a city that lives and breathes trends rubs off on the citizens which is why when you walk around LA you tend to see fashionable people. All the best brands are here and many top models have their home base in LA. Being on top of trends is huge in the business and this is why so many people choose to live there. When you are living in the epicenter of trends, modeling, and media, it’s bound to create opportunities for those who look for them.
